Do you have multimedia/libva on your system?
Since you are building X11 support, graphics/mesa-gallium-va
should have X11=on.

kodi-gbm should not present if you enable more than one platform,
the binary is kodi.bin.

Could you try to
        install multimedia/libva,
        set graphics/mesa-gallium-va X11=on, and
        rebuild kodi?
