However this means that all ports will also be rebuilt dependent upon this port. And these are issues a= re actually cosmetic changes which has not too big of an impact like library dependencies. Even if an end user do not update or rebuild this port it's n= ot going to affect them at all. Because for now we are finding man pages from = both ${PREFIX}/man and ${PREFIX}/share/man. I did a major moves of manpages on the prime ports which have lots of dependencies and have bumped them while I have also fixed other ports which= I have not bumped depending on the weight of the port. So I really do not thi= nk it is really worth the time on bumping these ports at all. On another note if you are asking me(with my clusteradm@ hat) when there is= a bump we have to rebuild a lot of ports and that is not only for one case Fo= r 13 we are building on 8 platforms and two(quarterly and latest), for 14 it's t= he same and for 15 it's 6 platforms on latest set. So this means that when I am bumping one port it triggers nearly a rebuild for 22 times and also the dependent ports which really do not make sense for these sort of changes. This is indeed a bug but depending on the domino effect it has I am closing this for now. Feel free to add any comment remarks. Consider it a bug we wi= ll embrace for a short period of time. We will change all ports to have ${PREFIX}/share/man by end of 2024Q2. :) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
