https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=276644 Bug ID: 276644 Summary: misc/buffer: time to deprecate? Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: asomers@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 247987 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=247987&action=edit Deprecate the port At work, this program recently started to fail with EFAULT, probably due to a change elsewhere in the pipeline. Rather than fix it, we just switched to misc/mbuffer. mbuffer has the advantage of a working website, and has been updated more recently than 1995. Is it time to deprecate misc/buffer in favor of misc/mbuffer ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
