            Bug ID: 274059
Summary: sysutils/rundeck3: an "error in the Makefile" causes
synth to be unable to build any ports at all
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: bob@vesterman.com

As of today, I can no longer update my system via synth, because while it is
scanning the ports tree, it complains about an error in the Makefile of
sysutils/rundeck3, and aborts.

I don't even have this port (or any rundeck port) installed, or in my list of
things to build, but apparently this Makefile error is enough to kill synth
entirely (since, for reasons I don't fully understand, it has to scan the
entire ports tree due to something something flavors something something).

I had no problem updating with synth last night, and I see in freshports that
sysutils/rundeck3 was changed today (it was deleted, in favor of
sysutils/rundeck). So, I thought maybe I would be able to find something
helpful mentioned in /usr/ports/UPDATING intended for the benefit of users of
sysutils/rundeck3), but alas, no.

Is there something I can do to get synth working again? Perhaps (somehow? how?)
using pkg or whatever to get rid of sysutils/rundeck3 entirely first? Thanks.
