Okay, so the problem is exactly what Michael described in comment 7 - an issue
inherited by fetchmail because of a problem in the openssl port that will be
fixed by changes in the openssl port.

As such, fetchmail pleads 'not guilty' here, as fetchmail inherited the problem
from a port on which it depends and will inherit the fix in the same way.
