Oh, I see in https://bugs.squid-cache.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5309 that you're also
supposed to apply https://github.com/squid-cache/squid/pull/1562, which simply
deletes the assertion. :D

Yes, that will certainly get rid of the crashes, but I am not entirely
convinced that the root cause was found...
