I have not tried Daniel's patch. However, today I rebuilt the machine where I
was running this version of ddclient. I had been running the version from my
original patch for the last year. The patch still applies cleanly and ddclient
installed correctly. I just used it to update my IP address with CloudFlare.

When I have some time I may update my patch to the actual release of 3.10, but
until then I'll just keep using RC2 personally.
