I can't reproduce this problem.  The only explanation I can think of is that
perhaps you upgraded the fish package but didn't restart your shell.  That has
produced similar errors for me in the past.  If that isn't the case, then I
suggest you file a bug upstream at
https://github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/issues .
