0.8 is not an update, it's a two and a half years old release and all the
components it uses are also way older than the more or less current situation
on GitHub. Maybe the author could be convinced to cut a new release, but going
back two and a half years does not seem reasonable. I am keeping my original
port (with Patrick's modifications, bin -> libexec) for now.
