From comment #2 it seems TrueNAS has a fork for samba and that's the source of
their port: https://github.com/truenas/samba , the development is still active
in the branches. It would be a good base for check the diff and backport the
samba port.

For easier to access the truenas 4.15 port, I grab it, did some very minor
modifications and put to:
http://people.freebsd.org/~lwhsu/tmp/samba415.tgz

Please note that this currently will fail in configure stage.

Perhaps we can ask https://github.com/anodos325 for collaboration?
