I upgraded packages this Monday and since that time pidgin crashes with the
following output:

the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found.  Does the plugin call the
PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?

Pidgin 2.14.4 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.
