https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=259115 Bug ID: 259115 Summary: Update x11/gmrun for multihead via patch available at AUR Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: garga@FreeBSD.org Reporter: fgorter@gmail.com Assignee: garga@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(garga@FreeBSD.org) Attachment #228636 text/plain mime type: Created attachment 228636 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=228636&action=edit patch to enable gmrun on multihead deployments. For those of us who use x11/gmrun on multi-headed Xorg rigs, running gmrun without this proposed patch places the app on a statically configured location. It'd be nice if it would follow the way other apps do, based on currently selected desktop and/or "follow mouse". This 'ancient' patch available on Arch Linux's AUR does the trick. It compiles cleanly & functions as intended, along with the necessary adjustment to the GMrun config file (.gmrunrc / setting both Top & Left to "-1"). Link to patch file on AUR: https://aur.tuna.tsinghua.edu.cn/cgit/aur.git/plain/center-and-multihead.patch?h=gmrun-multihead I've also attached the functional patch file, which needs to be copied to /usr/ports/x11/gmrun/files && the usual # make patch / make install clean etc -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
