Your original patch did the same... so pardon me but I have a hard time seeing
the benefit replacing 5 lines that will be removed in a couple of months, and
instead using over a hundred lines in 4 patches that replace 5 characters of
pure syntax changes. There is zero benefit of patches here, no context needed,
etc..

But sure, if you insist... I won't get around this, today, though.
