https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=260287 Bug ID: 260287 Summary: lang/cython - Could not install for python 3.10 when py38-cython had already been installed- ins Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org Reporter: parv.0zero9+freebsd@gmail.com Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(sunpoet@FreeBSD.org) Could not "make install" lang/cython port for python 3.10 when "py38-cython" package had already been installed, as both are installed in the same location ... ===> Checking if py310-cython is already installed ===> Registering installation for py310-cython-0.29.24 as automatic Installing py310-cython-0.29.24... pkg-static: py310-cython-0.29.24 conflicts with py38-cython-0.29.24 (installs files into the same place). Problematic file: /usr/local/bin/cygdb *** Error code 1 ... I would have expected all Python packages or ports to be concurrently installed for whatever versions of python have been installed. I am moving to Python 3.10; set "DEFAULT_VERSIONS+= python=3.10" in "/etc/make.conf". I started with "dev/py-lxml" port which depends on "lang/cython". I had to remove "py38-cython" package in order to continuing build, install of py-lxml port. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
