packages are not yet built with this patch, so I'm inclined to assume there
is no relation with it.
However, despite all the testing performed, bugs are still a possibility.

I've just tested the command on my system and I see no issues (pkg 1.20.9).
Which version of FreeBSD are you using? IIRC, all 12.x repos have been
already deleted (maybe causing pkg to be orphaned)
