Are you able to test the patch on your machine. On my machine it will wake the
machine but any subsequent poweroff it will briefly power itself of and on
again. However if I reboot first the subsequent poweroff will work. I don't
know if this is unique to my Acer laptop, with its various ACPI issues, or if
this is problem with my patch. So far I haven't received much feedback
regarding this issue.
Until it can be determined that this only affects my Acer I'm reluctant to
commit the patch.
