I tested with both snd_hda and uaudio it doesn't appear to make any difference
at all.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm starting to wonder if this is part of
a deeper issue that forced me to disable the E cores in my CPU see #261169

I don't seem to be having any other issues though that I can tell.
