I do agree that the whole -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=false is weird. However,
this bug report is not about that.

Whilst java/openjdk17 does work as you describe, java/openjdk22 does not.
In java/openjdk22, IPv6 no longer works. If you want to use IPv6 with FreeBSD
you cannot use openjdk22, its broken.
