Is ncurses incompletely installed because it is missing terminfo?

On 13.1 STABLE the manpage terminfo(5) says that terminfo should be 
installed in /usr/share/misc/terminfo/*/*.

But there are no such files.

Is this manpage outdated or incorrect, or is this part of ncurses missing?
