I mounted it locally (so it is using lo0) and I see a reasonable write rate when I do: # dd if=3D/dev/zero of=3D/mnt/xxxx bs=3D1M count=3D1000 (about 200Mbytes/sec) but if I do: # dd if=3D/tmp/somefile of=3D/mnt/xxxx bs=3D1M I see much slower writing (about 30Mbytes/sec). I'll try UFS and see if I see the slow writing there as well. I am wondering if ZFS has changed the way it does compression? (I know so little about ZFS, I don't even know how to turn compression on/off on ZFS.) Btw, you could try using /dev/zero for input.
