You probably knew him much better than I did. He published a letter on Nov/2023 before leave FreeBSD project, which was attached to the FreeBSD website above, about depression, and mental health, last Please see on announce: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-announce/2023-November/000102.html He wrote this letter, a last and courageous plea for help. Depression, anxiety, problems with substances and mental health have been a problem, which should not be ignored or removed. It MUST be maintained to serve as a warning, so that people take care of themselves and the people they love. So, please, put back on https://www.freebsd.org/community/seek-help.asc his letter.
