I submitted this patch on 2024-09-21.

On 2024-09-24, Mitchell said that GitHub was better for him.
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=281597#c5

On 2024-10-03, I submitted
https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/pull/1449
which contains most (but not all) of these fixes. (That PR is currently
"approved", but not merged.) The delay in putting this on GitHub was that
there were other man fixes which I decided would be easier / faster to review &
merge.

Once that PR is merged, I have another PR which contains the remainder of those
fixes.

I probably should have closed this issue on 2024-09-24. In fact, I looked into
doing that -- but I was confused by the status. It wasn't "fixed", nor
"overcome by events", nor "working as intended", nor... well, there's no point
me writing out the whole list. So I decided to wait until the fixes were
accepted via GitHub (as requested), then I would close this one as "FIXED".

Assigning this to mhorne is an option which didn't occur to me... but it looks
like I don't have that capability, anyway? I'm a new, completely unprivileged
bugzilla user.

Admittedly, on 2024-09-24, I should have added a comment to say that I would be
resubmitting it via another channel as requested.
