With the introduction of triggers (october 2021, so its time-frame crosses this
issue) this is supposed to be done automatically. Without additional
information (versions before and after, pkg version used, what it means to
"have gnome running normally"), I'm going to assume this is a "bad luck
upgrade" and close.
