However, if the file is opened with O_DIRECT, you could try setting # sysctl vfs.nfs.nfs_directio_enable=1 in the NFS client machine. rick > You could try the "nocto" mount option, which might help, if the log file > is being re-opened many times, but I doubt it will help.
