I've applied your changes and suggestions to my fork of
deskutils/calendar-data's calendar.holiday and updated the list from the U.K.,
Scotland, and Ireland government websites as of 02/2025, so it should be
reasonably accurate.  See Bug #278283.

I agreed with, and adopted, your suggestion that calendar.holiday should be for
actual holidays, not commemorative/"noteworthy"/etc. dates.  Thanks!

If FreeBSD adopts my fork, or even just makes it available as a port, I would
think they can close out this bug.
