Sorry, I think I have created some confusion here. I was attempting to make
clear, my intentions for switching back to gjournal, from SU. I realise those
intentions are completely irrelevant here, and, if I was so inclined, I would
create a separate PR for my SU speculation.

To be clear about the gjournal timeout problem, I do not see it on 15-CURRENT
with separate data and journal providers.
