            Bug ID: 284308
Summary: suspend/resume causes issues on ThinkPad T430,
                    14.1-RELEASE
           Product: Base System
           Version: 14.1-RELEASE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: jwb@freebsd.org

Suspend/resume was working fine on my T430 until some months ago. Now, after a
suspend/resume cycle, there are several instabilities:

1. Certain applications frequently crash on startup, including LibreOffice and
VLC
2. Shift+Ctrl+N stops working for opening a new Coreterminal window
3. VT switching seems to bork keyboard input: I get nothing or wrong characters
when typing in a vt console

* Restarting X11 eliminates all these issues until the next suspend/resume.

I've been running with suspend/resume disabled for a while, and these issues
have not occurred.

I don't recall exactly when the problem started, as I have been too busy with
other things to deal with it. It might coincide with the xorg 21.1.4 upgrade
last June, though it doesn't feel like it's been that long. I don't think it
dates all the way back to the switch to drm 6.1, but I could be mistaken.
