There is no one true intuition. It is always a function of subjective
perception, previous experience, and zillion other factors.  So what we have
here is your intuition versus someone else intuition.

I guess that the statement you made just based on your previous experience (or
habit) with linux probably.  My experience is different therefore expectations
how reboot should work on FreeBSD.
