https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=238006 --- Comment #11 from Harald Schmalzbauer <bugzilla.freebsd@omnilan.de> --- (In reply to Harald Schmalzbauer from comment #10) Please excuse my tangled questioning regarding the '-ss' default. Hopefully a better options outline: - auto-demote default/rc.conf '-ss' definition to '-s' in case any config defines @remote destination - auto-promoting to '-s' behaviour inside syslodg(8) in case config has @remote destination and making '-ss' the default in syslogd(8) itself, so 'syslogd_flags=' can be removed from defaults/rc.conf For the latter - which I would prefer - we'd need to establish an additional/new flag to provide today's default syslogd(8) behaviour (which isn't the actual default as long as user overrides syslogd_flags="" in rc.conf) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
