Is this BIOS or EFI?

We have no explicit support for reading the .gz file. We seem to rely on there
being GZIP support compiled into the loader, and I've made changes around that.

If this is EFI, I'd expect it to still be working.

If it's BIOS, then it's what I'd expect. I remove .gz support in that time
period, though I've since backed off that (added it back) and removed graphics
on BIOS instead (by default). It should work now either (a) because we're not
trying to load with the text only loader or (b) you built
WITHOUT_LOADER_BIOS_TEXT_ONLY=y and the GZIP support is back.

So can you try again :)
