[Bug 279829] Unable to automatically boot after upgrading to 14.1-RELEASE
Date: Fri, 05 Jul 2024 23:50:49 UTC
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=279829 --- Comment #12 from Albert Valbuena <thewhitereflex@gmail.com> --- (In reply to Kyle Evans from comment #8) Sorry for not knowing but I really need to ask this. Quote: "it appears that we might need to revisit how we document bootloader upgrade procedure." My first question: What is really needed to upgrade? What is it? I'm getting confused now. On the first reply this was mentioned: "update loader.efi on your EFI System Partition" My second question: Where is that documentation? As a user I expect this update-upgrade things to happen somewhat "automagically" following the handbook documentation for system upgrade. Are we talking about this specific? https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/cutting-edge/#updating-bootcode PS: Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't want to be here again in a few years time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
