Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2024 06:24:45 UTC
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=277208 Bug ID: 277208 Summary: rc.subr: sometimes fails to run protect(1) Product: Base System Version: Unspecified Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: conf Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: tatsuki_makino@hotmail.com Setting *_oomprotect to the enabled state will run protect on that service, which sometimes fails. The following output is left on the console when it appears to have failed. protect: option requires an argument -- p usage: protect [-i] command protect [-cdi] -g pgrp | -p pid This is displayed when pid is not specified in the -p option. In other words, it is failing to obtain the pid. Furthermore, they are probably trying to get the pid before the pid is ready to be retrieved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
