https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=276776 Bug ID: 276776 Summary: Reboot does not reboot system as user Product: Base System Version: 14.0-RELEASE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: alexey@ocaml.nl Hello, I have 14.0-RELEASE-p4 running in VirtualBox. When I enter "reboot" as a normal user (me) I see "reboot: Operation not permitted". - I am a member of the "operator" (and "wheel") group. - "shutdown -r now" works as the very same user. - As root, "reboot" works. - The very same things happen with "halt" (operation not permitted) and "shutdown -h now" (works). - "poweroff" works. What am I doing wrong? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
