[Bug 280670] Feature request: add crc32 support to md5(1)

What CRC32 polynomial do we want to support?  There's a bunch of them in common
usage.  And if we pick a polynomial, different flavours of CRC32 return the
result in two possible bit orders as well as inverted or not.
