I thinks it works as intended.

For epair(4), rename on create seems not useful compared with other cloning
interfaces.

As on create always a pair of interfaces are created and you can not simply
rename both to the same name (name collision in vnet). But rename only one side
you will take caution to find the name of the other side (e).
