            Bug ID: 269591
Summary: Installer's WiFi configuration fails to find networks
                    if region is set
           Product: Base System
           Version: 13.1-STABLE
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: bin
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: editor@callfortesting.org

Hardware: Ivy Bridge ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X230, "Let's Note"
Releases: 13.1*, 13.2*

During installation from memstick or disc1, the WiFi configuration fails to
scan for networks, reporting: "No wireless networks were found. Rescan?" and
Rescan does not help.

Tested workaround: Do not set an FCC region
Suggested but untested workaround: Enter the emergency shell and type:

ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 up
