https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=270728 Bug ID: 270728 Summary: Clock stops, but system keeps running Product: Base System Version: 12.4-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: freebsd@thehugheslogcabin.net I have 2 Dell PowerEdge C1100 systems running 12.4-RELEASE-p1 that the clock will stop, but the system will keep running. NTPD will stop because the time gets too far behind. The length of time that the clock stops running varies. Since I update to 12.4, it took 7 days for it to happen. Before updating to 12.4, it would happen randomly, anywhere from 1 hour to 12. I'm running VirtualBox 6.1.26 on both, not sure if this has anything to do with the problem. The processor is an Intel Xeon L5520 2.27GHz. Both systems have 72G memory. These systems were running an older version of FreeBSD and didn't have this issue. kern.eventtimer.timer: HPET kern.eventtimer.choice: HPET(350) HPET1(340) HPET2(340) HPET3(340) LAPIC(100) i8254(100) RTC(0) kern.clockrate: { hz = 1000, tick = 1000, profhz = 8126, stathz = 127 } kern.hz: 1000 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
