[Bug 267826] awk(1) functions or(), and() and xor() broken when used with more than 2 args

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=267826 --- Comment #3 from Tassilo Philipp <tphilipp@potion-studios.com> --- Some more info: - according to src/contrib/one-true-awk/ChangeLog, the bitwise functions are from OpenBSD's awk, which never allowed more than 2 args - src/contrib/one-true-awk/awk.1 also doesn't mention more than 2 args - however, src/usr.bin/awk/awk.1 does mention it and reflects the old behaviour - I'm unable to find any mention of the change that happened in any ChangeLog - I grep'ed through the system's .awk files to see if more than two args are in use anywhere, which isn't the case, so I changed the PR's Importance to "affects some people" So, I think a valid fix could also be to stay more in line with the OpenBSD version, and simply fix the manpage at src/usr.bin/awk/awk.1 hth -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
