upgrade was done from 13.0-RELEASE via "freebsd-update -r 13.1-RELEASE upgrade"

problematic controller is Asmedia 106x

I was able to catch screenshot only by 120fps video recording, the system is
reset despite of verbose settings and kern.panic_reboot_wait_time=-1
 in /boot.loader.conf
