https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=265266 Bug ID: 265266 Summary: Random sudden reboots laptop running FreeBSD Product: Base System Version: 13.1-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jiangjun12321@gmail.com Hi, I experience some random reboots of my laptop running FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE. It happens when I was running 13.0 RELEASE too as I recall. I didn't notice any pattern, sometimes I unplug second monitor, sometimes I close mpv player. I only notices the LED for hard disk keeps on and then machine go into a sudden reboot. There is no normal shutdown process, machine turns off as if power is cut off and then instantly boot up. I find /var/crash/core.txt.1 and /var/crash/info.1 for a crash this time: % cat /var/crash/core.txt.1 'version' has unknown type; cast it to its declared type 'version' has unknown type; cast it to its declared type Unable to find matching kernel for /var/crash/vmcore.1 % doas cat /var/crash/info.1 Dump header from device: /dev/ada0s4b Architecture: amd64 Architecture Version: 2 Dump Length: 970711040 Blocksize: 512 Compression: none Dumptime: 2022-07-15 22:34:53 +0000 Hostname: freebsd.asus Magic: FreeBSD Kernel Dump Version String: FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE releng/13.1-n250148-fc952ac2212 GENERIC Panic String: vm_fault_lookup: fault on nofault entry, addr: 0xfffffe00acd87000 Dump Parity: 3347612783 Bounds: 1 Dump Status: good There is also a /var/crash/vmcore.1 file but it's over 900M and impossible to upload here as an attachment file.
