It's /etc/rc that is producing this output.

FreeBSD defaults to no news is good news. Unlike Linux that is much more
chatty. There is no use for the printing of the name. If I set the name for the
interface I know what the name of that interface is going to be.

I look through dmesg to check whether my custom router with 12+ interfaces
started up correctly. Having this sort of gibberish clobbering the output is
confusing.


I have no problem committing this myself into the FreeBSD tree by the way. Just
wanted to hear your opinion.
