About that error code though, if I'm reading the RFC correctly, it seems like we should send NFS4ERR_SEQ_MISORDERED instead of NFS4ERR_STALE_CLIENTID, according to the first paragraph on page 521. Do you agree? I'm getting set up to reproduce this problem on demand now. Hopefully I'll be able to test any fixes to ei= ther side.
