https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=261794 Bug ID: 261794 Summary: graphics/drm-kmod or x11-drivers/xf86-driver-intel? Xorg does not come up in screen native resolution. Product: Base System Version: Unspecified Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: sblachmann@gmail.com When I start X Window on my T520 with FHD display, it comes up in a 960x540 resolution. Looking at dmesg.boot, the start FB_INFO ... end FB_INFO section clearly shows that originally, the native display resolution has been detected correctly. Looking at Xorg.0.log, the 1920x1080 DDC modeline is shown correctly. Nevertheless Xorg appears in a mode with half of the actual display's dimensions and I have to add the native mode using xrandr addmode to make Xorg display in the correct resolution. (see the workaround hack: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1193045/wrong-resolution-missing-1920x1080-on-lenovo-w520-after-update-to-ubuntu-18-04 ) Seems to be a regression, but I lack the intimate knowledge to say whether it is a drm-kmod or intel driver issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
