https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=261763 Bug ID: 261763 Summary: tar fails to create iso file using -a option Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mail@ozzmosis.com FreeBSD tar(1) has the ability to create .iso files via libarchive. This syntax works fine: $ tar cvf myfile.iso --format iso mypath An alternate syntax allows tar to choose the file format based on the file extension (in this case .iso), but this fails: $ tar acvf myfile.iso mypath Can't use format iso9960: No such format 'iso9960' I've sent a patch for this bug upstream: https://github.com/libarchive/libarchive/pull/1659 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
