Maybe I should add the setup I use. Didn't think it would matter, but I should
anyway:

NAS, serving over NFS

I take the 13.1 iso, extract it, add installerconfig (and uncomment the line in
fstab)

VM on ESXi, boots via bootp, mounts nfs, runs the install
