The code itself should work fine with other versions — i developed it originally on 13-stable, iirc, but then retargeted to current for submission and there were some changes done concurrently that the patch takes into account. Those changes were minor so the patch might apply cleanly.

If not, and if that’s a problem, let me know (maybe off-list?) and I can find the conflicting commits that need to be applied beforehand.
