https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=270707 --- Comment #38 from Matthias Lanter <freebsd@lanter-it.ch> --- I also don't know the reason why AMD does this with the Ryzen 6000 and newer. I currently have three different AMD-based notebooks at my disposal. Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14ACH5 with Ryzen 7 5800H: https://bsd-hardware.info/?probe=020e17c2f8 Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 21CF002UMZ with Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U: https://bsd-hardware.info/?probe=0a2c02f944 Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 21K3CTO1WW with Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U (no Probe) According to acpidump, the newer two have an IRQ 1 with acitve-low, the older one does not. Since we do not know exactly how many systems still need the old patch, this is unfortunately not easy to solve. I would introduce a parameter that enables the previous behavior, e.g.: hint.acpi.force_irq_active-high="YES" Of course, this would have to be mentioned for existing systems before an update. This means that a special parameter does not have to be set for installations so that the keyboard still works not only in the boot menu but also in the installer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
