+1, I was also quite shocked by this commit.=C2=A0 I've always relied on UPDATING to stretch to the dawn of times and see no reason
to trim it.=C2=A0 It's in reverse chronological order so if you don'= ;t
need older entries, you don't have to read of skip through them,
but please leave them in place for those who do.

We have trimmed stuff in th= e past, and while a trim is needed, this trim did way too much.
