I also only build GCC 8 with BOOTSTRAP disabled, and LTO is disabled universally for all ports. This makes the ports usable on an average user's machine (adjusting GCC_DEFAULT?=8 in Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk and LLVM_DEFAULT=11 in graphics/mesa-dri/Makefile.common).
