From that commit I reckoned they've changed something behind the
scenes so these simple tricks won't work.  I guess I'd have to see
for myself what had happened to Gentoo mirrors.  Of course I'd much
rather use GENTOO/distfiles/65 so long as it actually works, but then
perhaps we'd have to rethink all GENTOO drops and fix them instead?

I'm well aware, it's *my* machine at the university and I plan to
put it back online sooner or later.  Unfortunately, getting access
to it became rather hard after 24.02.2022. :(
